Andrographis paniculata (chuan xin lian) is a Chinese medicinal herb commonly indicated for the relief of cold and flu symptoms, inflammation, gastritis and upper respiratory tract infections. It is known for its potent anti-inflammatory and broad-spectrum anti-microbial actions.
Here we examine one ‘over the counter’ patent medicine formulation consisting of three herbal extracts:
- Andrographis paniculata leaf, dry extract (120mg)
- Taraxacum mongolicum herb, dry extract (60mg)
- Isatis tinctoria root, dry extract (60mg)
